The control of stimulation energies during antalgic treatments is often tricky:
- Sensitivity varies from patient to patient.
- Visual control is difficult, as the tickling is not visible.
- Habituation prompts you to increase the stimulation energies beyond the MEP threshold, which is not desirable for a patient in pain.
- It is difficult to work in an ideal therapeutic efficiency zone for endorphinic programmes requiring pronounced muscle twitches.
How it works
The sensor continuously and automatically measures and adjusts the stimulation energy in order to prevent any muscular contraction during TENS programmes.
For programmes using low stimulation frequencies such as endorphinic, the optimal intensity adjustment zone is indicated on the stimulator screen throughout the session.
Associated benefits
- Removes all doubt concerning the proper adjustment of stimulation energies: the stimulator limits the energy level and lowers it if it is too high. You no longer need to check it 3 to 4 times per session.
- The patient works at the correct energy level, and as a result, works more efficiently and with greater comfort.
- It is no longer necessary to check the stimulation energy settings for each patient several times.
